Vintage USN WWII Silver Sugar Bowl Reed & Barton 1945 Wardroom Officers Mess

$ 50.00

Vintage Reed & Barton 1940's Silver Plain Sugar Bowl, Wardroom Officers Mess. This is a wonderful United States Navy collectable from WWII. On doing some research I found this style was used in the Wardroom Officers Mess. The sugar bowl is Silver Soldered and was made by Reed & Barton. Often referred to as Hotel Silver. The sugar bowl is a nice large size. Perfect for actually using on a buffet.

The bottom of the bowl is marked Reed & Barton, Silver Soldered, 3610. It also has a "parachute" date mark to indicate it was made in the year 1945. It is back stamped U.S.N. The sugar bowl measures 7 7'8" wide from handle to handle. Measures 4 1/2" high. Will hold a lot of sugar! The overall condition is very good. Inside is nice and clean. No silver loss areas. No dings or dents. Has some mild tarnish which is normal and will polish to a high shine if new owner desires.
