Antique Gorham Sterling Silver Fontainebleau Perfume Bottle Flask Circa 1885

$ 645.00

Antique Gorham Sterling Silver Fontainebleau Pattern Perfume Bottle Flask, Circa 1885. This wonderful rare perfume flask is made of solid silver. It has a hand chiseled look on the sides and a highly detailed woman on one side and a wild bird within brush. Nice bead trim near the top area. The lid is engraved with a very fancy monogram. I believe "CIB" not certain in which order i.e.. BIC, IBC etc.

The end of the flask is marked 265 Sterling, along with the Gorham maker's mark. Also has a boars head mark to indicate it was made in the year 1885. This is a real antique treasure. The flask perfume bottle measures 4 3/8" long by 3/4" wide. It weighs 51.5 grams. Quite a heavy little bottle. Overall condition is excellent for it's age. Nice patina. Screw off top is in good working order. Has some normal wear and tear that is consistent with age. No major damage or repairs. This is one for any serious collector.
